Our program

Civic Education Program

The RISE Civic Education Program is an opt-in curriculum designed to empower adolescent girls as they reenter their communities after juvenile detention. Through peer community-building, legal literacy, and hands-on advocacy training, participants learn to navigate record expungement, defend their rights, and master real-world reform strategies like letter-writing campaigns and policymaker outreach. To honor their commitment to changing the juvenile justice system and to directly support their futures, RISE walks alongside each participant throughout the program.
